Wait, what!?

Okay, I was just writing to my best friend, and was reminded of a truly terrible fact.  I can NOT believe we're gonna be 45 this year!! FORTY FIVE!!  twenty plus twenty plus FIVE!!  HOW!?  I repeat HOW did this happen!?  I remember when I thought FORTY was old!  and now I'm almost to FIFTY!  do you know how OLD that is!! it's FIFTY!!! half of ONE HUNDRED!!  If I could swoon in dis-belief I would surely do it, but  since I can't, I'm just gonna giggle a little like one of those people you see on the street and then cross to avoid them, cuz they just don't seem right in the head...

...yeah, I think I've lost a little of my mind just thinking about it!:)

How did THAT get there!?

I'm beginning to realize that it's true... I am, in fact, NOT getting any younger!  I used to think, "hey, it's alright, I still look pretty darn good!" and "oh yes, I'm SURE I could still pass for being in my 30's!"    but now.... yeah, that's changed.  I am starting to look my ACTUAL age!  what the heck!? How did this happen!?!

To be honest, I blame my son.  He went and got married, and then they had a baby, and that made me a grandma!  (which I LOVE by the way!)  but it would seem, that when you become a grandma you instantly start to get gray hair!  nobody puts THAT in the brochure! nor does it mention that you'll start to get a gaggle neck, and wrinkly hands, and weird age spots - Seriously!?? ughhhh 

WOW! it's been a while! :)

Okay, I'll admit I'm never on my own blog - but I do love to read about everyone else's lives!! :) Has it really been three years since my trip to Europe!? WOW! **shaking my head** It's truly amazing how fast time flies...

A few wonderful things have happened since that time! :)

Firstly, in 2009 I reconnected with an old friend from Holbrook and the next thing you know we're dating, fell madly in love, and have been inseparable ever since! Gotta love Facebook! haha :) Martin has certainly been a blessing in my life! :) After years of being unlucky in love, I figure it's only fair, right!?

Then, Greg and his love Sarah, moved here to Kansas last Spring, and it has been SO AMAZING! I get to be grandma to such a sweet 2 1/2 year old (Braxton)!, and even MORE amazing, is that Greg and Sarah are having another boy, due this June! I can't wait to meet little Rigden! Boys are such fun, even if Braxton DID brake his little leg three weeks ago jumping off the couch! he is a true chip off Greg's block! haha! and it only took a few days for him to start running around and jumping off things again! crazy! :)

Anyway, I do have another fun trip planned this year! My best friend Kay, from high school, lives in Melbourne, Australia, so I will be flying over there in April and will stay for two and a half weeks! woohooo! I can't wait! But more on THAT, later :)
